Nursery & Preschool

Discovery PitStop will provide daily and extended care
for infants to children 4 years of age.

In our Infant PitStop (4 months-12 months old) we encourage exploration in its earliest form, encouraging little discoverers to engage in tummy time and other developmentally appropriate activities. Infants are immersed in stimuli as they explore their classroom environment that is filled with artwork, educational toys, and soothing music.

The Toddler PitStop (1-2 years old) sets the groundwork for foundational reading and math skills by introducing toddlers to the concept of letters, numbers, shapes, and colors. Toddlers will be encouraged to engage in pretend play and learn to interact with their environment through sensory activities. Toddlers also begin to explore literature as they are presented with classic book titles during read aloud and one on one reading time.

The Preschool PitStop prepares children for Pre-K and beyond by fostering independence through daily student led play-based activities. Guided explorations and thoughtful discussions help preschoolers to expand their vocabulary and experience social and emotional growth. Preschoolers participate in ongoing STEAM experiences that are showcased for parents throughout the school year.

Enrichment opportunities include Bilingual Birdies Spanish curriculum and yoga and children of all ages enjoy ample time to engage in outdoor and indoor gross motor play. Breakfast and lunch are provided daily with our catered meal plan.

Discovery PitStop will also offer weekend Play Space featuring soft play and ride-on toys for toddlers and preschoolers. It will be open for weekly events and classes, and available for private parties. The playspace will feature a Tech PitStop with tablets and computers where children can play preloaded educational games, a Movement PitStop where children may engage in physical activity, a Reading PitStop, and an Arts/Science PitStop where children can engage in crafting and science experiments.
